Château de Berne
The essence of Provence
Set on the Aurelian Way – a Roman road formerly linking Italy and Spain – the history of Château de Berne dates back to Roman times. The estate benefits from the perfect amount of sun, wind and rain for wine growing. Mainly South-facing, the vineyard is situated on a limestone Triassic plateau. The cool evenings of the inland Haut Var ensure slow and optimal grape ripening. The grape harvest therefore takes place later than on the coast. The vineyard has been converting to all-organic production since January 2018.
