Grape variety(ies)

Cinsault, Colombard, Viognier, Marselan, Merlot, Nielluccio

A magnificent pale peach colour.

The nose opens with aromas of ripe stone fruits and white fruits.

A supple and round feel on the palate; the ideal balance between volume and freshness.

Wine and food pairing

Friponne lends itself to easy aperitifs and gourmet Mediterranean cuisine such as prawns a la plancha, fish grilled in olive oil, or stuffed courgette flowers

Custody advice

Ideal tasting temperature at 10°C. Tip: Put your rosé in an ice bucket with water and ice cubes rather than in the fridge.

Saint-Roux produces different grape varieties in the Mediterranean; this cuvée therefore has mixed ancestry. The blend of grape varieties offers an originality and intensity. Cultivated with the greatest care, the grapes are picked during the night when at their full maturity, to preserve their freshness. Delicate pressing and good settling, thin the size of the wine. Slow fermentation at regulated temperatures, with indigenous or selected yeasts, guarantees aromatic plurality. Aging for several months on fine lees perfects the balance on the palate.

Once upon a time there was a domain...

Mr. Chapoutier

It all started in 1808 with the creation of Maison Calvet et Compagnie, located rue de l'Hermitage in Tain. In 1897, Marius Chapoutier joined forces with Rodolphe Delépine to found the Delépine et Chapoutier company. The wines are exported to Holland, Switzerland and Germany. Then in 1929, at the foot of the Hermitage hill, Marius created the new M. CHAPOUTIER winery. In 1937, Marius' son Marc took over the business. Today, with Mathilde and Maxime, a new generation joins Corinne and Michel Chapoutier to perpetuate the tradition of a family House.
