What types of grapes are used in the composition of your wines on flash sale?
Each grape variety is unique in terms of its foliage and grains (or berries), which can have their own sizes, colours and aromas.
It depends on the bottles of wine in the flash sale, but here are the main grape varieties used in our different Provençal estates:
Rolle or Vermentino: very common in Sardinia, Italy, and Corsica. Today, its cultivation is done in the regions bordering the Mediterranean, mainly in Provence.
Colombard: a golden white grape variety resulting from a cross between Chenin and Gouais.
Viognier: a Rhone grape variety - it gives fat and fine wines, with aromas of violets and acacias.
Marselan: black grape variety resulting from a cross between Cabernet-Sauvignon and Grenache Noir.
Syrah Noir: emblematic grape variety of the northern part of the Côtes du Rhône.
Grenache Noir: it gives dense, fleshy wines with a wide aromatic palate. The aromas range from red fruit to chocolate notes.
Merlot: a dark and dense grape variety, with aromas of red and black fruits and a superb aromatic palate.
Cinsault: a grape variety originating from Provence, its widely used for the production of rosé wines.
Cabernet-Sauvignon: originally a Bordeaux grape variety, it brings a tannic structure and an aromatic bouquet.
